On January 18, 1921, in Fortworth, Texas LeRoy Robert Anderson was born the second son to Elder Willie O. and Sister Ada Cross Anderson.
The Lord blessed Bishop Anderson to come from a five-year-old cotton picker to serve as a General Board Member for the Church of God in Christ, Inc. and prior to him entering the church triumphant he served as the Arizona Ecclesiastical Jurisdictional Prelate.
After receiving his formal education in Breckenridge, Texas, and San Antonio, Texas, “Brother LeRoy” went on to further his education at Page Normal Industrial and Bible Institute (a C.O.G.I.C. private school).
Bishop was married to his sweetheart Mary Louise Anderson for over 50 years. They were the proud parents of five wonderful daughters, who presented them with fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren

He served in the United States Air force for three years, three months, and nine days. There he received many citations, and was discharged as a Staff Sergeant. In his mid sixties, Brother Anderson was introduced to Zoe University. Shortly, thereafter, he enrolled in the university and remained there until he earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Because of his age, his classmates affectionately referred to him as “Father Abraham”. Because of his faithfulness and dedication to his work, he received an “honorary” Doctorate of Divinity degree.
He served the Church of God in Christ in the following positions: junior Deacon, Deacon, unlicensed Minister, licensed Minister, junior Pastor, Pastor, District Superintendent, Assistant Overseer, Bishop, and for twenty five years, General Board Member. He has also served as the Interim Bishop over twenty-seven jurisdictions.
